Contract Position - Mississauga
The Account Advocate is a key member of the Canadian sales team, working with data analysts, marketing, operations, account managers and sales leaders to help grow our business. As an inside call centre employee, the ultimate goal of your conversations is to build rapport, earn the trust of our small business, self-employed and accountant customers and advocate for them as we meet them where they are and get them where they want to go. You will communicate educational and tangible value to a customer who has previously been in touch with us, and in return gather contact details and potential interest in our company, products, and next steps.
The Account Advocate team will help Account Managers reach our customers to focus on moving leads through the pipeline. They will be given lead lists by marketing and then contact prospects in order to build qualified leads that will be used by quota-carrying sales reps. There is no cold calling.
ABOUT YOUR TEAM:
Working with a senior manager and six other Account Advocates you will work to cleanup and prepare thousands of leads into qualified potential customers. On occasion you will pass warm leads to Account Executives. The teams mandate is to contact over 20,000 leads in under a year.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:
- Knowledge of SaaS and/or accounting.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Profiling customers to understand more about their business
- Infrequently passing leads and transferring to sales
- Speaking to 30 customers a day
- Developing professional skills and capabilities
SOFT SKILLS/PERSONALITY TRAITS:
- Personable on the phone
- Talk less and listen more
- Bachelor’s degree required, new college grads welcome!
Some form of retail or light sales experience. These AA’s are not selling, they will be connected with our customers with automated software. They will need to be able to hold a conversation and provide value for our potential customers, allowing them to ask a series of questions and in the end, update Salesforce.
